now applied for licence to build two river gunboats 100 feet

length overall 19 feet breadth 6 feet depth for Centon Naval

Headquarters under the agreement signed 26th. 'ugust 1937.

Vossels will be amed after arrival in Canton. Construction

not yet begun. In view of instructions contained in your

how in Hong Kong I assume that licence should not be granted

but shall be glad of confirmation or otherwise.
